Dickie V

If there is one thing that I know for certain over everything else, without a shadow of a doubt, it is that The Fighting Illini are the best damn team in the nation. Not much of a statement anymore, right? More of a fact. Well I've been saying it since they were 0-0. I predicted, at the Zags game in Indy, that they would win by 32, while everyone else gave reasonable answers. This is nothing to brag about just posting my position. Now there has been one Illini/Big Ten hater every year and that man is Dickie V. I don't mean hater like your friend hates on some on by talking trash, I mean hate on like lack of respect hate on. Now I like DV, I think he's a great announcer and extremely smart when it comes to college basketball. He always sticks up for any team who gets screwed in the Tourny picks and is usually right about everything, EXCEPT his anti-Big Ten Bias. And it has taken until Illini was 18-0 for Dickie V to even admit that they are the best team, and 22-0 for him to start talking good about them during other games (i.e. Duke vs. Wake). You are really going to tell me that beating the "#1" by 18 beating Cinc. and the Zags imbarrassingly is not the best team in the country. Dickie V, has come around, and now is giving Illini what it's due, and I say respect to him, he's a good guy and everyone always complains about who he likes. Duke fans complain when he says something good about UNC and vice versa. He's the most important voice in NCCA basketball. I guess what I'm getting at is the huge media ACC bias. Now if you don't think Illini is #1 by this time you might want to walk in front of a bus because you are retarded. So this is the question, it takes a perfect season for the UofI to get respect in the NCAA? A team that has been consistantly ranked for quite a few years and made the tourny(even though they always get screwed with the ranking i.e. last year, and put in the hardest bracket, i.e. last three years.) , and on top or around the top of the Big Ten. Yet Illini gets no respect? Every game there is at least one person on ESPN that picks IL. to lose. The other day someone said UNC should be number one. Then followed by another guy who said BC should be number two? Are they doing crack over there? I am sick of hearing about the ACC. The ACC is like Louisville every year in b-ball and football... overrated. WAY WAY overrated. I will still admit they are the best conference, but not by the head and shoulders every dick sucking ACC fan gives them. Duke, UNC, Wake. Respect. You are great teams. You make the ACC. The rest of you. You suck. You are overrated. Here is the proof that the media runs a dick sucking train on the ACC. Preseason Ranking: Wake: 2 UNC: 3 GT: 4 Duke:12 Maryland:16 NCSt:19 . Now I already said Wake(Paul and Gray make that team), Duke(Coach K.) and UNC(#2) are not overrated. Now GT (ha) preseason 4 are u serious. You beat Ill(Chi.) by one. You played 2 hard teams preseason Mich. and Zags and lost to the Zags. You lost to VT and NCst. VT lost to VMI, (WHO? ya that's right, you don't know who that is) They should be ranked but 4 is stupid. Maryland: you lost to Wisconson(point big ten), and Geo. Washington. You should not be ranked. NCst. who some how rolled into the tourny last year with a 4 spot.... look it up you might shit yourself. You beat purdue. the worst team in the Big Ten by 7.... 7 points. You should not be ranked. because Iowa, Wis. Mich St., Ohio St. and Minn. would all roll all over you... except GT: Mich St. Wis. and Iowa only get nods over you. Mich st could play with wake and and Duke. SO as I said before the ACC is the best conference in the nation because they have 3 great teams and 1 good team... The rest of the conference is full of average ass teams like NCst. who aren't as good as a lot of teams in the NCAA... Yet are considered top 20... and yet teams like Iowa and Wis. are "coming out of no where" no thats just cause the ACC bias media made the big ten seem weak last year which it wasn't and gave the ACC like 11 bids into the tourny above teams that WON their conference (i.e. NCst.) Quit slobbing on the ACC's dick and start giving respect where respect is due, the Big Ten. Who always has a team go deep into the tourny (i.e. Indiana) and always gets played down as a weak conference. and that is my rant since I had a big ACC vs Big Ten fight.
